Let’s Give Rayyan the Gift of Hearing

Mirza Muhammad Rayan's Story
Mirza Muhammad Rayyan, a 5-year-old boy from Sargodha, has lived in a world of silence since birth. His parents first noticed his hearing problem when he failed to respond to their voices or react to common household sounds. As the months passed, their concern deepened. They took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Rayyan with congenital Sensorineural Hearing Loss (SNHL), a condition that prevents him from hearing properly due to inner ear or nerve-related damage. The doctor has recommended cochlear implant surgery.
Rayyan’s inability to hear has affected every aspect of his young life. He struggles to interact with his family, play with other children, or respond to sounds. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s means.
If Rayyan does not receive the cochlear implant surgery soon, his condition may become even more difficult to manage. Delayed intervention will significantly affect his ability to develop speech and language skills, and he might remain dependent on others for communication throughout his life.
Rayyan lives with his family in a modest home. He has one sibling and is surrounded by loved ones who are eager to see him thrive. His father, a police employee, is the sole breadwinner in the family, earning a monthly salary of PKR 65,000. This income just covers the needs of the household with multiple dependents. The high cost of cochlear implant surgery is far beyond their financial capacity.
In a voice filled with hope, Rayyan’s family said:
“Every time we see his struggle to understand the world around him, our hearts break. We want him to live like other children, to hear our voices and communicate with us. Kindly make this surgery possible.”
Rayyan’s world is waiting to be filled with sounds. You can make that happen.
Contribute now and help Rayyan hear, speak, and have the life every child deserves.
