Let’s Save Areeba’s Life with Open-Heart Surgery

Areeba Fatima's Story
Every child deserves a healthy start in life, but for Areeba Fatima, each day begins with a struggle to breathe. She is a 1-year-old girl from Faisalabad who has been experiencing breathlessness and chest discomfort since birth. She is unable to gain proper weight, and even mild to moderate physical activity leaves her gasping for air and feeling fatigued. Upon noticing her inability to breathe freely, her parents took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After undergoing necessary medical tests, Areeba was diagnosed with congenital heart condition known as Unbalanced Common Atrioventricular Canal (CAVC) with Pulmonary Stenosis (PS).
To correct these defects, her doctor has advised angiography and CP-shunt via open-heart surgery. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s financial capacity. Areeba’s life is in danger. If her condition is left untreated, it may lead to various complications such as heart failure. It’s necessary for Areeba to undergo timely surgical intervention for her disease.
Areeba lives in a modest home with her five family members. Her father, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a barber and makes just PKR 30,000 per month. This income is insufficient to cover their utility bills, amounting to PKR 3000, shop rent of PKR 3000, and their other household expenses. They are struggling hard to put food on the table and save for a costly surgical procedure. They long to see their daughter lead a healthy life, but their financial constraints come in the way. During this time of need, her family has turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Areeba’s parents described their emotions as follows:
“Areeba needs heart surgery to survive. This treatment can save her life, but we don’t have the money for it. As her parents, we can’t describe our feelings in words. Kindly help us keep our child alive.”
Areeba deserves to live a joyful and healthy life, but her parents can’t afford her treatment. During their difficult time, be a source of hope for them and contribute to Areeba’s life-saving surgery.
Give Sadaqah today and earn immense blessings.
