Light Up Mubeen’s World with Eye Surgery
Mubeen Bibi's Story
In a small town in Multan, lives a 9-year-old girl named Mubeen. She has a bright smile and a heart full of dreams, but her world has become dark. Mubeen is struggling with cloudy vision, and it is making her daily life very difficult. Simple activities like playing with her friends, or even helping her mother in the kitchen have turned into challenges.
Concerned about her condition, her parents took her to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed her with a right eye cataract. To enable her to see the world clearly, the doctor recommended the right Phaco + IOL surgery. The doctor emphasizes that the procedure will change her life, but the surgical cost is beyond what her family can afford. Her parents feel a mix of hope and despair as they don’t know how they would manage the expenses.
Cataract surgery is necessary for Mubeen. Otherwise, she may face a future of darkness. Her cataract may become worse and even lead to blindness. Mubeen often sits alone, watching her friends play outside, wishing she could join them. The joy of childhood is slipping away, and she feels isolated.
Mubeen lives in a small mud house with her four family members. Her father works hard as a daily wage laborer, earning only 20,000 PKR per month. This income is insufficient to cover utility bills of PKR 2000, and groceries expenses, let alone pay for Mubeen’s surgery. Mubeen can see the worry in her father’s eyes, and it makes her feel sad and helpless. With hope in their hearts, Mubeen’s family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us to register her case. Mubeen’s parents said with teary eyes:
“We can’t see our daughter in this unfortunate situation. We wish to give her a bright future but our financial hardships don’t allow us to do so. We request you to please help us during this time of need.”
Mubeen longs to be able to see clearly again, to run freely and laugh without worry. With your generous support, Mubeen can have the much-needed surgery, letting her embrace the joys of childhood once more. Every donation counts, and together, we can help Mubeen see the world clearly again!
Please Note: In certain situations, we proceed with the patient's surgery/medical procedure despite incomplete funding displayed on the website. Following the surgery/medical procedure, we persist in collecting funds and maintain the campaign on the website until funding is secured in full. Hospitals have granted us a grace period for bill payment.

Mubeen Bibi's Story
Mubeen Bibi, a 9-year-old girl from a small town in Multan, was struggling with cloudy vision in her right eye. Her quality of life was badly impacted and she couldn’t even play with her friends. Concerned about her daughter’s condition, Mubeen’s parents took her to a local hospital for an examination. After a thorough check-up and an eye examination, the doctor diagnosed her with a cataract in her right eye. The condition was significantly affecting her vision, and the doctor recommended a Phaco + IOL surgery to restore her eyesight. However, Mubeen’s family’s financial situation made it impossible to afford the necessary surgery.
Mubeen lived in a small mud house with four family members. Her father worked as a daily wage laborer and earned only PKR 20,000 a month. This meager income barely covered the family’s basic needs. Despite his hard work, there was no way he could manage the high cost of Mubeen’s surgery. Determined to find a solution, Mubeen’s family reached out to Transparent Hands. We registered Mubeen’s case and arranged surgery for her at a reputable hospital on our panel.
On December 10, 2024, Mubeen was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Trust Hospital in Multan. Her surgery was successfully performed by Dr. Safeet Shahbaz on December 11, 2024, giving Mubeen clear eyesight.
