Muhammad Abdullah 's Story

Muhammad Abdullah aged  two years, a resident of Jalal Pur Peer Walla is suffering from loss of vision and discomfort in his eyes. It is not normal to see a two year old in this much suffering. Muhammad Abdullah, awaits left eye cataract surgery.  Please donate for his operation so his suffering can end.

One year after his birth, Muhammad Abdullah began expereincing loss of vision and discomfort in his eyes, his parents immediately  took him to the hospital. There, the doctors diagnosed him with developmental cataract affecting his eyes. A developmental cataract occurs early in childhood. Cataract is a clouding of the clear lens that eventually interferes with vision. Some signs and symptoms of cataracts include: dim, clouded or blurred vision, difficulty with vision during night, increased sensitivity of the eye to light and glare.  He got his right eye cataract surgery done with the help of Transparent Hands. Now he is planning to undergo his left eye cataract surgery.

In order to heal from this ailment, Muhammad Abdullah has been advised to undergo LMA  of his left eye and placement of the intraocular lens (IOL).  LMA with an intraocular lens (IOL) is a brief surgical procedure where the cataract-affected lens inside the eye is removed, and replaced with an artificial lens in its place. As, Muhammad Abdullah awaits LMA of the left eye with an intraocular lens (IOL), his father shares their ordeal in the following words:

“ My son is only two years old and he can’t even see properly. This is the most painful thing that a father can endure. I cannot see him in this pain. I am the only breadwinner of the family. I work in a small shop where I  earn PKR. 13,000 per month. These days, this income can merely feed a family of four. Therefore, surgery remains out of the question. Please help me and my son. ”

                                                                                                       (Muhammad Abdullah’s Father)
