Muhammad Ali's Story

Before diving into the grim details of Muhammad Ali’s illness, we want you to know that you can ease his pain by giving a donation for his surgery. Please donate for Muhammad Ali’s TURP+Cystoscopy

Muhammad Ali, aged 70 years, a resident of district Lahore, suffered from recurrent episodes of lower abdominal pain and LUTS. He went to the doctor for his checkup. His examination and reports revealed that he is suffering from Bladder outlet obstruction. Lower Urinary Tract Symptoms or LUTS is a group of urinary symptoms triggered by an obstruction, abnormality, infection or irritation of the urethra, bladder, bladder neck, urinary sphincter and prostate. The doctor advised him for the surgical procedures called TURP and Cystoscopy. In transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP), a combined visual and surgical instrument (resectoscope) is inserted through the urethra where it’s surrounded by prostate tissue. An electrical loop cuts away excess prostate tissue to improve urine flow.

Muhammad Ali’s family cannot afford the hefty cost of this surgery. His son is the sole breadwinner of the family and he earns only PKR. 25,000 per month. In these circumstances, managing the monthly expenses of eight members of his family becomes very difficult for him. He cannot afford his father’s surgery.

“This pain has left me pinned to my bed. I cannot go to work. My son is working to put food on the table for eight people. He has a small shop. Affording this surgery is out of the question for him.”

After a lot of distress, Transparent Hands registered Muhammad Ali’s case. We want to help him with the completion of his treatment. This can only be possible with your help. Therefore, we request you to donate generously for Muhammad Ali’s TURP+Cystoscopy. Your donation can help an ailing man ease his pain.
