Muhammad Hassan Awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery
Muhammad Hassan's Story
Muhammad Hassan, a 2-year-old boy from Lahore, is unable to hear the sounds around him. He has never heard his parents and loved ones’ soothing voices. Other children respond to noisy toys, but Hassan is unable to do so. Concerned about his condition, his parents took him to a nearby hospital and received a consultation from a doctor. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed him with congenital sensorineural hearing loss (SNHL) and advised cochlear implant surgery. However, the surgical cost was beyond his family’s financial means.
The sooner Hassan receives the cochlear implant, the better his chances of speech and language development which are important at his age. If he doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, he might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak.
Hassan lives in a modest rented house with his ten family members. His father is a police employee with a modest monthly income. Hassan’s parents long to give him a bright future and a world filled with sounds. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming and they can’t afford to pay for it. During this time of need, Hassan’s family reached out to Transparent Hands and asked us for assistance.
Hassan’s parents said in grief:
“Our son is unable to hear us and it breaks our heart when we see him in this situation. We wish for the day when he would communicate with us like his other siblings. We feel helpless as we can’t pay for his surgery. Please support Hassan in undergoing the surgery.”
Hassan’s life will change if he gets the surgery soon. By receiving this cochlear implant, he will be able to hear and identify different kinds of sounds and distinguish voices which he is unable to do right now.
Hassan needs your support in undergoing this surgery. We ask you to please contribute for his life-changing surgery. Your generosity can have a meaningful impact on his life.
