Muhammad Sanan's Story

Muhammad Sanan was suffering from hearing loss since his childhood. You can help retrieve Muhammad Sanan’s sense of hearing by donating for Muhammad Sanan’s cochlear implant surgery. Even your small donation can help a little boy listen again.

Muhammad Sanan, aged 4 years, a resident of Malakand, was suffering from hearing loss since his childhood. His parents came to know about their son’s condition when he did not respond to his parents’ voices after one year of his birth. This happened when he was one years old. For this purpose, his parents took him to the hospital for checkup. After several tests, the doctor diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor advised him of the cochlear implant. Now, cochlear implant surgery is the only option left for a permanent cure. A cochlear implant is a surgically implanted neuroprosthetic device that will give Muhammad Sanan a modified sense of sound.

His father is a painter and is the only one to feed the house. His monthly income is PKR. 20,000. With this mere income and a large family to support, he hardly makes the both ends meet. He cannot afford his son’s expensive surgery.

“The most heart-aching thing for a father is to see his child suffering. It is  my wish that I call my son’s name and he runs back to me smiling. But unfortunately, his hearing disability is a huge hurdle. Our child is suffering from this ailment and we also are suffering with him. Please help us fix this disability.”
