Noor Ul Ain Shujaat's Story

Noor Ul Ain, a 1-year-old baby girl from Bahawalpur, can’t hear her parents’ and siblings’ voices. Since birth, she has lived in complete silence—unable to respond to voices or sounds around her. While other children of her age begin to smile at familiar sounds, Noor remains unaware of the sounds around her. Deeply worried, her parents took her to a specialist who conducted several diagnostic tests. After a thorough medical evaluation, Noor was diagnosed with sensorineural hearing loss – a condition that prevents the transmission of sound signals from the inner ear to the brain. The doctor has recommended cochlear implant surgery. However, they are unable to pay for this surgery.

If Noor doesn’t undergo the surgery on time, she might not be able to develop the ability to hear and speak. The sooner she receives the cochlear implant, the better her chances of speech and language development, which are important at her age.

Noor lives in a humble home with her parents. Her father works as a laborer to make ends meet. Her mother serves as a police constable. Despite both parents working hard, their combined income is barely enough to meet the daily needs of the household. Saving for such an expensive surgical procedure is far beyond their financial reach.

Noor’s family said in despair:

“It breaks our hearts when we call out her name and she doesn’t even turn her head. Every day without hearing is a challenge for Noor. A cochlear implant can change her life, but the surgery is simply too expensive for us. Please secure her future.”

Your support can give Noor the chance to hear, speak, and grow just like other children. Let’s join hands to help this little girl step into a world filled with voices, love, and possibilities.

Open your hearts and donate to make a life-changing difference.

Noor Ul Ain Shujaat's Story

Noor Ul Ain, a 1-year-old girl from Bahawalpur, had lived in complete silence since birth. While most children of her age begin to respond to voices, smile at familiar sounds, and react to their surroundings, Noor remained unresponsive. She didn’t turn her head when called or show any reaction to sudden noises. Worried about her condition, Noor’s parents took her to a doctor. After a series of diagnostic tests and a thorough medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with congenital sensorineural hearing loss and recommended cochlear implant surgery. However, the surgical cost was overwhelming for her family.

Noor lives in a modest home with her parents. Her father works as a laborer, while her mother serves as a police constable. Despite both parents working hard, their combined monthly income just covers their household expenses. Saving enough for such an expensive procedure was not possible for them. During their time of need, Noor’s family turned to Transparent Hands for help. Understanding the nature of her condition, we immediately registered her case.

With the support of kind donors, Noor was admitted to Evercare Hospital in Lahore. Dr. Imran Saeed successfully performed the cochlear implant surgery. The internal component was implanted on April 16, 2025. After receiving post-operative care, she was discharged in satisfactory condition on April 17, 2025.

We are delighted to share that the external component of Noor’s cochlear implant has now been successfully installed. She has begun responding to sounds, marking a beautiful and emotional milestone for her family. Noor will also continue to receive speech therapy sessions to help her develop hearing and speech abilities.

Noor’s family expressed their pleasure as follows:

"Seeing her respond to sounds for the first time was the happiest moment of our lives. Your generosity gave her the ability to hear our voices. Thank you for giving her a new beginning in life."

With your support, Noor now has the chance to experience sounds. You’ve changed her world and enabled her to have a life like other kids of her age.

Her family is immensely grateful to you for making a valuable difference in her life.
