Raffi awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery
Raffi Ullah 's Story
Raffi awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery. Rafi Ullah is a bright child. But his smile is shadowed by the disability he is facing. Please help to retrieve the bright smile by donating for his surgery. Even a penny can go a long way.
Raffi Ullah, aged 4 years, a resident of Nowshera, was suffering from hearing loss since his birth. His parents didn’t have any idea about his condition. But after one year, they realized that he was not responding to any sound. His parents took him to the hospital and there, the doctors diagnosed him with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctors advised a cochlear implant surgery for his condition.
A cochlear implant is the installation of an electronic device that electronically stimulates the cochlear nerve and generates the sensation of sound. It is the best possible solution for Raffi Ullah’s condition, but his family cannot afford the surgery. His father is a daily wager and earns a total of PKR. 13,000 monthly. It is very difficult to feed a family of 5 members with this income. He can’t afford surgery for his son. His father appealed in the following words:
“To anyone who is listening to this, my son is suffering from a horrific disability. I don’t have that much money to afford his surgery. Help me get his surgery done. I can’t see my son in this condition anymore.”
Raffi Ullah’s parents decided to register his case with Transparent Hands. We have assured him that we would try our best to arrange for his surgery. But, it is not possible without your help. As Raffi awaits Cochlear Implant Surgery, please help us get his surgery done. Together we can acquaint him with the beautiful sounds of the world.
