Rafia Asif Needs a C-Section for a Safe Delivery

Rafia Asif's Story
Rafia Asif, a 30-year-old woman from Karachi, is currently 30 weeks pregnant and carries deep hope and worries. Rafia has previously experienced the heartbreak of four stillbirths. Recognizing the precious nature of this pregnancy, her doctor has been monitoring her closely. Given her history of complications, her doctor has strongly advised a planned C-section to ensure both her safety and that of her unborn child. It’s the best way to minimize any risks and avoid repeating the tragedies of her past. However, the cost of the C-section is beyond her family’s means.
If Rafia does not receive this essential surgery, the risks to both her and her unborn child will be alarmingly high. Given her past complications, delaying the procedure may lead to another heartbreaking loss.
Rafia’s husband works hard as a laborer in a private company, bringing home a monthly income of PKR 40,000. Additionally, the household relies on a PKR 15,000 pension from her father-in-law. Despite their combined income, they struggle immensely to meet the needs of their joint family. Monthly utility bills alone add up to PKR 4,000, and the family is burdened by a significant loan of PKR 250,000. Their financial hardships make it impossible for them to afford the crucial surgery. During this time of need, they have turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Rafia said in despair:
“This pregnancy is our only source of hope after so many losses. However, we’re helpless without your support. I can’t bear to lose this child. I request you to help me in bringing my child safely into this world.”
You have the power to save two precious lives. Your healthcare donations can help Rafia welcome her long-awaited child into the world with hope and joy.
Let’s join hands to provide Rafia with a safe C-section.
