Relieve Zainab Bibi’s Pain with Cholecystectomy

Zainab Bibi's Story
Zainab Bibi, a 44-year-old woman from Pakpattan, is suffering from upper right abdominal pain. She also often faces nausea and vomiting. Her intolerance to fatty meals makes life even more challenging. Moreover, she is unable to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother and wife. Worried about her condition, she consulted a doctor at a local hospital. After performing a comprehensive examination, the doctor diagnosed her with symptomatic gallstones – the formation of hard mineral deposits in the gallbladder. To ease her gallbladder pain, the doctor has advised open cholecystectomy. However, the cost of the surgery is out of her family’s reach.
If Zainab’s condition is left untreated, it may lead to complications like bile duct obstruction and gallbladder infection.
Zainab lives in a modest home with her husband and seven children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 20,000 per month. This income is insignificant to cover their utility bills, food, and the living expenses of their nine family members. At times, Zainab’s family struggles to put food on the table and manage other expenses. They are surviving in extreme poverty, and affording to pay for Zainab’s surgery is beyond their reach. During this difficult time, they have turned to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance.
Zainab said in despair:
“It’s hard for me to spend each day of my life with this illness. It feels like a burden now and has taken away my ability to manage my home and care for my children. We face immense financial hardships and can’t afford the surgery. Kindly support me in undergoing the surgery.”
Zainab’s life has been affected by her illness, and she deserves to live a healthy life. Only you can help her overcome this condition and have an improved quality of life.
Be generous and change Zainab’s life by contributing for her surgery.

Zainab Bibi's Story
Zainab Bibi, a 44-year-old woman from Pakpattan, had been suffering from severe upper right abdominal pain for several months. Her days were filled with nausea, vomiting, and constant discomfort, especially after eating fatty meals. These symptoms began to interfere with her ability to manage her household tasks and care for her seven children. Desperate to find a solution, Zainab visited a local hospital and consulted a doctor. Following a detailed examination and necessary tests, the doctor diagnosed her with symptomatic gallstones. To treat her condition and prevent further complications, the doctor recommended an open cholecystectomy. However, the cost of the surgery was beyond Zainab’s family.
Zainab lives in a modest house with her husband and seven children. Her husband, who works as a daily wage laborer, earns only PKR 20,000 a month. With such a limited income, they already struggled to cover essential living expenses. Affording surgery was simply not possible. During their moment of need, they reached out to Transparent Hands for support. After verifying her medical and financial situation, we promptly registered her case.
On May 5, 2025, she was admitted to Lahore Care Hospital, where Dr. Ahmed Fawad successfully performed her surgery. Zainab was discharged in a stable condition after receiving proper post-operative care.
Zainab expresses her heartfelt gratitude as follows:
"Before the surgery, the pain had taken over my life. I couldn’t care for my children or do anything without discomfort. Your support has not only healed my body but also brought hope back into our lives. I’m thankful to you for making it possible.”
After the surgery, Zainab has regained her energy and can now fulfill her household responsibilities without discomfort. The constant pain and nausea no longer limit her life. Your support gave her a healthy and active life. For this, she and her family are incredibly grateful to you.
