Muhammad Ahmad, a 36-year-old man from Lahore, is experiencing ear discharge from both ears. Due to this, he also suffers from pain, vertigo, and hearing loss, with more pronounced issues in his left ear. These complications have made it increasingly difficult for him to perform well at work and engage in conversations. Concerned about his health, Ahmad visited a local hospital, where, after a thorough medical examination, the doctor diagnosed him with left-sided Attico-antral Chronic Suppurative Otitis Media (CSOM). It is a chronic ear infection affecting the attic and antrum of the middle ear. To relieve his discomfort and prevent further complications, the doctor has advised left-sided Mastoid Exploration.

However, the cost of this surgery is beyond Ahmad’s financial capacity. If left untreated, Attico-antral CSOM can lead to severe complications such as mastoiditis, labyrinthine fistula, facial paralysis, and even intracranial infections like meningitis or brain abscess.

Ahmad lives in a modest rented home with six family members. He works as a lab technician and earns just PKR 45,000 per month. A major portion of his income goes toward utility bills, food, and basic household needs, leaving no room to afford his surgery.
