Restoring Sight for Zain Abbas
Zain Abbas's Story
Zain Abbas is a 7-year-old boy from Multan who is facing the challenges of living with cataracts. The condition has significantly affected his vision, causing difficulty and inconvenience in his daily life. Zain is facing immense hardship due to this condition. The doctor has recommended surgery, specifically LMA and IOL, to address his short-sightedness. While Transparent Hands successfully facilitated the first cataract surgery on his left eye in March 2022, To restore the sight Zain now requires surgery for the right eye. However, the family’s financial limitations have made it impossible for them to afford the procedure.
Zain’s father works as a rickshaw driver, earning approximately PKR 700–800 per day. Despite his hard work, the family’s income is meager. He lives with his parents in a rented house, facing the constant struggle to make ends meet. Zain’s father’s monthly income of PKR 16,000 is barely enough to cover their basic expenses. With a rent of PKR 2,000 and utility bills amounting to PKR 1,000, the family finds it challenging to address their daily needs, let alone afford the surgery required for their son’s vision restoration.
Zain’s father said it in a depressed tone:
“Join us in transforming Zain’s life, as your generosity will bring clarity and brighten his future with the gift of sight.”
