Saba Hayat Awaits a Safe C-Section
Saba Hayat's Story
Living in a small town of Karachi, Saba Hayat, a 24-year-old spirited woman is awaiting the delivery of her second child. She has a previous history of one C-section. To prevent complications and minimize risks, her gynecologist has recommended an elective C-section procedure to safely welcome her baby into this world. However, Saba and her family are in a critical financial situation and can’t afford to pay for her surgery.
Saba can’t undergo the normal delivery procedure as her previous C-section surgery has made it risky for her. She needs critical monitoring and care for her second child’s delivery. The significant cost of the surgery is overwhelming for her family as they barely make ends meet. She lives in a modest one-room rented house with her husband and child. Saba’s husband is a daily wage laborer and brings in just PKR 25,000 per month. The rent of the house amounts to PKR 6000, and the monthly utility bills of PKR 3000 put an additional financial strain on the family. Due to their limited resources, they are unable to afford the cost of the much-needed C-section procedure.
She reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for support to ensure a safe C-Section.
Saba Hayat said in despair:
“I am tense about my unborn child. The C-section procedure is the only way to make the delivery less risky for me and the child. My husband works hard but his monthly income only fulfills our basic needs. For this reason, I humbly request all donors to support me in this time of need.”
