Shafi Ullah 's Story

Shafi Ullah feels knee pain while walking and standing due to torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL). He is a salesman and this condition makes it difficult for him to do his job. His family’s survival depends on his ability to make a living. Shafi Ullah awaits ACL Reconstruction surgery to overcome this pain. But he cannot undergo it without your support.

Shafi Ullah, a 31-year-old resident of Karachi, has been suffering from severe pain in his left knee for the last 18 months. He went to the local hospital for an evaluation. The doctor told him that his anterior cruciate ligament was damaged. It is a tear or sprain of the ACL. If it goes untreated, it will increase the pain, swelling, and inability to carry out physical activities. The doctor advised him to undergo left ACL reconstruction surgery. It is a surgical procedure in which a torn ligament is repaired or reconstructed with a band of tissue that connects the muscle to the bone.

He lives with his wife, daughter, and brother in a rented house. He earns just PKR 20,000 per month as a salesman, which is barely enough to make ends meet. Paying for the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) reconstruction surgery is out of the question for him. The surgery will help him walk without pain and do his job without discomfort. He told us:

“My wife and daughter are dear to me and totally dependent on me. I want to fulfill all their needs and provide a secure future to them. However, the pain and discomfort in my knees are interfering with my job and quality of life. I request all donors to help me undergo ACL reconstruction surgery.”

His case is registered with Transparent Hands now and we are determined to support his treatment. Shafi Ullah awaits ACL reconstruction surgery, so please donate generously to help him regain pain-free mobility. You can help him with as little as USD 10. Donate today!
