Support Abida’s C-Section
Abida Kanwal's Story
Amidst the uncertainties of life, a young couple named Abida Kanwal and her husband find themselves embarking on a challenging journey. Abida, a 25-year-old resident of Multan, is expecting her second child. However, their financial circumstances have made it difficult for them to afford the expenses of a safe delivery. Abida’s first child was delivered via C-section, and now she faces the same need for her second child.
Abida’s husband works as a private driver, earning a limited income of PKR 25,000 per month. With their meager earnings, the family struggles to make ends meet. They do not own a house and are currently residing in rented accommodation, for which they pay a monthly rent of PKR 5,000. Additionally, they have utility bills amounting to PKR 1,500. These financial constraints have placed a heavy burden on their shoulders, leaving them with little room to afford the medical expenses associated with a safe delivery.
Abida said it in a depressed tone:
“Your kind heart has the power to protect my baby and ensure a safe journey into this world. Your support is an invaluable lifeline that will help me overcome the challenges and embrace the beautiful journey of motherhood with peace and joy.”
Abida has reached out for assistance and registered her case with Transparent Hands. Abida Kanwal's Story
Abida Kanwal, a 25-year-old woman from Multan, was expecting her second child. She had undergone one C-section earlier. To make the delivery safe, she consulted a doctor, who conducted some lab tests and an ultrasound scan, and it was found that a C-section would be essential to ensure the safety of both Abida and the baby. This news filled her with both joy and anxiety. She wanted her baby to arrive safely, but the financial burden of a C-section weighed heavily on her mind. Abida lives in a small rented house with her husband and one child. Her husband, the sole provider for the family, works as a driver and brings in just PKR 25000 per month. He was hardly managing the house rent alongside the cost of utility bills and groceries. The financial strain of Abida’s C-section surgery was an additional financial burden for the family who were struggling to make ends meet. During this time of need, Abida turned to Transparent Hands and asked us for help. After listening to her concerns, we swiftly registered her case. The day of hope arrived. On 4th July 2024, Abida was admitted to Bakhtawar Amin Memorial Hospital in Multan. She received pre-operative care and surgery took place on 5th July 2024. Dr. Tehreem Rasool skillfully performed the C-section procedure, and Abida delivered a healthy baby girl. She was hospitalized for three days and received necessary care and monitoring. Abida recovered and was discharged in satisfactory condition on 7th July 2024. With a heart full of gratitude, Abida shared: “I was worried about how we would manage, but the help we received was a blessing. I delivered my baby safely, and that’s all that matters. I will forever be thankful to everyone who helped me.”
Abida and her family extend their deepest thanks to the donors who made this surgery possible. Your generosity provided this mother with the care she needed and gave her family hope in a time of uncertainty. You have made a significant difference in her life.
