Abrish Bilal 's Story

Abrish’s world is silent and lonely due to her congenital sensorineural hearing loss. She is unable to hear the laughter of loved ones or the sweet sound of music. Her voice falls silent in a world that is meant to be heard. Without cochlear implant surgery, her ability to communicate and learn will be severely hindered. She deserves to experience the world in all its beauty, to hear the sound of the wind blowing and the birds singing.  Let’s support Abrish’s cochlear implant surgery and give her a chance to live a life full of opportunities.

Four-year-old Abrish, a resident of Islamabad, was born with congenital sensorineural hearing loss. When Abrish was born, her parents were overjoyed and eagerly awaited hearing their daughter’s first words. However, their joy soon turned to heartbreak when they learned that she had congenital sensorineural hearing loss. The news shattered their dreams of watching their daughter grow up surrounded by the sounds of the world. Determined to help their daughter, they took her to the hospital, where the doctor recommended cochlear implant surgery.

The family’s financial situation has only added to their despair. Her father works long hours as a laborer, earning a meager income of PKR 25,000 per month. The cost of the life-changing cochlear implant surgery that she needs is far beyond their means, leaving them feeling helpless and hopeless.

Her father said in a depressed tone:

“As a father, I feel like I’m watching my daughter experience life through a thick veil of silence. It’s a world that no child should have to endure, and it breaks my heart. Please help us lift that veil and give her the chance to hear and communicate with the world.”

The family reached out to Transparent Hands, hoping to help her with the surgery she needs. They know that the gift of hearing could change their daughter’s life forever, giving her the opportunity to learn, grow, and connect with the world around her. Will you help her hear the world? Every donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in her life. Let’s support Abrish’s cochlear implant surgery and give her a chance for a brighter future.

Abrish Bilal 's Story

Four-year-old Abrish was born deaf and unable to hear, and she faced the heartbreaking reality of being unable to respond to her name or recognize her parents' voices. The doctor recommended cochlear implant surgery as a potential solution, but her family was unable to afford the costly procedure. In their desperate search for help, they turned to Transparent Hands, where the power of collective compassion became their lifeline.

Abrish was admitted to Ali Medical Complex in Islamabad, where Dr. Jawad skillfully performed the cochlear implant surgery on 15-06-2023. With precision and expertise, the doctor successfully implanted the internal component, marking a significant milestone in Abrish's journey toward hearing restoration. After just one day in the hospital, she was discharged, and then after a few weeks, the external component of the cochlear implant was also fixed.

Abrish's journey continued with dedicated speech therapists guiding her in developing language and communication skills through speech therapy sessions. Now with the guidance of speech therapists, she could respond back to her parents’ voice and she found a new way to express her love and connection with loved ones. The cochlear implant acted as her bridge to a world filled with sound, opening doors to education, social interaction, and fulfilling life.

The profound impact of this life-changing surgery was magnified by the family's financial constraints. Transparent Hands' donors played a critical role in this transformation.
