Basra Bibi's Story

Basra Bibi has been suffering from severe osteoarthritis for five years. The doctor has advised bilateral knee replacement surgery. It is an expensive surgery and her family is unable to afford it. Support Basra Bibi’s Knee Replacement and make her future pain-free.

Basra Bibi, a 47-year-old resident of Mardan, has bilateral knee osteoarthritis. Since last year, the pain and swelling in her legs have gotten worse. Her husband took her to a local hospital. After running some diagnostic tests and a thorough evaluation, the doctor advised bilateral total knee replacement. Bilateral Total Knee Replacement is advised for severe arthritis that is causing pain and stiffness in both knees.

Her knee pain is not allowing her to carry out her daily tasks. She cannot walk or stand for long periods of time. Basra Bibi lives in a rented home with her husband and four children. Her son is the sole earner in the family. He earns just PKR 15000 as a laborer. Her son can’t afford to pay for his mother’s expensive surgery.

She expressed his distress in the following words:

I feel helpless and sad to see my mother in pain. She cannot walk or stand for more than a little while. She cannot even carry out her basic tasks. Our whole family is disturbed and stressed. We cannot afford to visit doctors again and again as I have a meager income. If you’re reading this, please consider donating generously for my mother’s knee replacement surgery.”

Her son contacted Transparent Hands to register her case. We need your support in the form of donations to make Basra Bibi’s total knee replacement surgery possible. Basra Bibi and her family will be grateful to you, even if you make a small contribution. Come forward and support Basra Bibi’s Knee Replacement as much as you can.
