Support Hafsa’s Open Heart Surgery
Hafsa Atique's Story
Hafsa Atique is suffering from a life-threatening disease at such a young age. She is also unable to live her youthful years to the fullest. Your generous donation to this cause will help her live a healthy life. We urge you to support Hafsa’s Open Heart Surgery as soon as possible.
Hafsa Atique, a 19-year-old resident of Sheikhupura, Punjab, is suffering from congenital heart disease. She has been experiencing cyanosis and breathlessness since birth. Hafsa’s parents took her to the hospital after she was unable to breathe. Upon consultation, she was advised by the doctor to undergo a number of diagnostic tests to determine her disease. Hafsa’s reports revealed that she is suffering from Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) is a group of four congenital heart defects. The doctor then advised her to undergo TOF Repair – Open Heart Surgery. Her TOF repair surgery was done back in 2006 in a public hospital. Hafsa was doing fine, but she has been experiencing Dyspnoea, difficult breathing, for the last three months. Upon checkup, the doctor diagnosed her with Dilated Right Ventricular with Pulmonary Regurgitation. After the diagnosis, she was advised to undergo an Open Heart Surgery with Valve Replacement.
Hafsa’s father works as a draftsman and earns just PKR 20,000 – 30,000 per month. In these gloomy times and with a meager income, it is impossible for Hafsa’s parents to afford the hefty cost of this surgery. However, they still have some hope left because they now know that donors like you exist in this world. Hafsa expressed her feelings in the following words:
“I’m afraid all the time. This disease is like a silent killer. When I had my surgery back in 2006, I thought I was cured, but I was wrong. These hospital visits get me anxious every time. Please help me get cured.”
Transparent Hands has registered Hafsa’s case. We are determined to help her. But, this will not be possible without your support. Please support Hafsa’s Open Heart Surgery.
