Support Hania’s Cochlear Implant Surgery
Hania Ifthikhar's Story
Hania’s parents are extremely concerned about their daughter’s future. Not only is Hania suffering from hearing loss, but her parents are also unable to afford the treatment she needs. Their eyes well up with tears when they see their little girl struggling to communicate with them. However, your donations can help her discover the world of sounds. Support Hania’s Cochlear Implant surgery as much as you can.
Four-year-old Hania Iftikhar, a resident of Islamabad, was born with sensorineural hearing loss. At first, her parents were not aware of her condition. Later, when she could not respond to their verbal cues and loud noises, her parents took her to a hospital. The doctor advised Hania to get a hearing device, but her parents could not afford it. Now, as a permanent solution, the doctor has advised Hania to undergo Cochlear Implant surgery. A cochlear implant is a surgically implanted neuroprosthetic device that will give Hania a modified sense of sound.
Unfortunately, Hania’s parents cannot afford the hefty cost of a Cochlear Implant surgery. Despite long hours and hard work, her father hardly manages to earn PKR 30,000 per month. This income is barely enough to keep the household running. Therefore, he is in no position to save up for his daughter’s surgery. Hania’s father told us:
“I feel helpless when I see my kid constantly struggling to convey her thoughts to us. I want her to live her life like all the other kids who don’t have to deal with hearing loss. I want her to be successful and attend school.”
Hania’s parents have registered her case with Transparent Hands. We are determined to assist her, but it will not be possible without your donations. Therefore, we request you to support Hania’s Cochlear Implant surgery and help her live her childhood to the fullest.
Disclaimer: Transparent Hands makes sure that all the patients get surgery in time. If a patient requires urgent surgery and his/her condition is serious, Transparent Hands conducts the surgery immediately. In the meantime, his/her campaign stays active on the website until we raise the complete funding. The hospitals on our panel have complete trust in us and wait for the payments until the patient's funding is completed.
Hania Ifthikhar's Story
Hania Iftikhar, a four-year-old resident of Islamabad, has been struggling with sensorineural hearing loss since birth. To enhance her hearing ability, she underwent a cochlear implant surgery conducted by Dr. Jawad Ahmad at Ali Medical Centre in Islamabad on June 16, 2022. The internal component of the implant was successfully placed behind her ear during the procedure. Hania recovered nicely and was released from the hospital after just one day of stay.
The external component of her cochlear implant will be added in six weeks, and she eagerly awaits the chance to experience all the amazing sounds around her.
