Muhammad Junaid 's Story

Junaid has knee ankylosis, affecting his daily routine and social activities. He cannot walk or stand for long periods. He is finding it challenging to carry out physical tasks. He feels left out and socially isolated. He is also unable to find a job. He does not have enough money to afford the expensive surgery. We request you support Junaid’s Total Knee Arthroplasty to allow him to live his life to the fullest.

Junaid, a 29-year-old resident of Mardan, has been suffering from knee pain, swelling, and stiffness for the last five years. He went to the local hospital where the doctor prescribed symptomatic treatment. But the pain and swelling in his right leg worsened over time. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with an ankylosed right knee. Ankylosis of the knee occurs when the bones in a joint fuse together, severely limiting its function and making it very hard to move. The doctor advised him to undergo right total knee arthroplasty. Knee arthroplasty is the surgery to repair a knee joint, during which the surgeon caps the ends of the bones that form the knee joint with a prosthetic shaped like a joint. It allows the patient to move the knee without pain.

He lives in a rented house with four family members. His father is deceased and his family gets a pension of PKR 35,000 per month. He has no job due to his disability. He has no other source of income. He is unable to afford the surgical expenses. He said in a depressed tone:

“I feel the burden of not being active and independent. I need your financial support to get back to my normal life.”

His case is registered with Transparent Hands now. We are determined to raise funds for his treatment. We urge you to support Junaid’s Total Knee Arthroplasty to help him overcome his pain and discomfort.
