Munazza Bibi's Story

Munazza Bibi is facing acute abdomen pain and needs to undergo Cholecystectomy as soon as possible. This surgery will provide her with a chance to live for her daughters. She is already undergoing dialysis and cannot afford to pay for this surgery on her own. We urge you to support Munnaza’s Cholecystectomy without any delay.

Munazza Bibi, a 33-year-old resident of Kasur, has been suffering from upper abdomen pain for the last one and a half years. In the past, she underwent high fever and high blood pressure during her first childbirth which affected her kidneys badly resulting in renal failure. Due to this, she is also going through regular dialysis sessions. One and a half years ago, she had acute abdomen pain. After a thorough evaluation, the doctor diagnosed her with stones in the gallbladder as well as the common bile duct (CBD). The doctor advised her to undergo Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP). Her procedure was performed in May 2022. Now, the surgeon has advised her to undergo an open cholecystectomy. Cholecystectomy is the most commonly performed surgery to remove the gallbladder, which is diseased due to stones.

Munazza lives with her husband and two daughters. Her husband is the only breadwinner in the family and earns just PKR 20,000 per month. Munazza is very attached to her daughters and is concerned about their well-being and future as her painful condition makes it difficult for her to take care of them.

With teary eyes and a trembling voice, she told us:

“My daughters are very sensitive and delicate. Girls are vulnerable, especially when their mother is unable to take care of them. I want my health back so I can do my best to provide them with the care and opportunities available to other girls their age.”

With all anxiety and fear for her daughter’s future, Munazza Bibi has registered her case with Transparent Hands. Support Munnaza’s Cholecystectomy today!
