Nargis Bibi's Story

Nargis is in excruciating pain that no words can describe. Every day feels like a struggle for her as she battles with severe abdominal pain that won’t go away. It’s taking a toll on her physical and emotional well-being, leaving her helpless and alone. But there is hope. A laparoscopic cholecystectomy can allow Nargis to live a life free from this pain and suffering. She deserves to live a healthy and happy life, but unfortunately, she cannot afford this critical surgery. We urge you to donate generously and support Nargis’s laparoscopic cholecystectomy.

Nargis, a 60-year-old resident of Karachi, has been suffering from episodes of upper abdominal pain for the past five years. She went to the local clinic for an initial check-up. The doctor prescribed some painkillers to relieve the pain. However, she was not cured. She went to another hospital and underwent some diagnostic tests. Upon evaluation, she was diagnosed with gallstones. The doctor advised her to undergo a laparoscopic cholecystectomy. It is a surgical procedure that involves removing the gallbladder using small incisions and specialized equipment called a laparoscope. It is commonly used to treat gallstones and gallbladder inflammation.

She lives in a rented house with her husband and five children. She is financially dependent on her son, who earns just PKR 25,000 monthly. On this meager income, he cannot afford to pay for the surgery. Nargis said in a depressed tone:

“I can’t bear the thought of living the rest of my life in this pain.” I feel like I’ve lost so much. I can get cholecystectomy surgery with your help. Please help me make this happen.”

Her case was registered with Transparent Hands, and we assured her that she would receive the very best medical care. However, we need your financial support to make this happen. Even a small contribution can bring her relief. Support Nargis’s laparoscopic cholecystectomy to provide her with a healthier future. Your kindness can give her a chance to see a brighter future filled with joy and hope.

The doctor prescribed some painkillers to relieve the pain. However, she was not cured. She went to another hospital and underwent some diagnostic tests. In her time of greatest despair, she turned to Transparent Hands, embracing the possibility of medical intervention and a chance for a brighter future. Her plea for help was answered, her case registered, and a glimmer of hope illuminated her path. Together, the support of donors transformed her journey from despair to triumph, proving that acts of kindness have the power to change lives.

She was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi, where Dr. Nida performed her surgery on 22-07-2023. For three days, she remained under the care of the hospital, as each passing moment brought her closer to recovery and relief from her enduring pain. Gratitude filled her heart as she recognized that without the generous donations that made her operation possible, her journey toward healing would have remained a distant dream.

Nargis Bibi wholeheartedly expresses her profound appreciation to the selfless individuals whose kindness and generosity bridged the gap between suffering and relief. With sincere sincerity, she acknowledges the invaluable contributions that paved the way to a healthier life, rekindling her hopes and aspirations.

As time progresses, her pain diminishes, and she realizes that recovery is not merely a physical process but a testament to the indomitable strength of the human spirit.
