Muhammad Rehan's Story

Muhammad Rehan is suffering from a congenital heart defect. You can help him overcome this life-threatening disease even with a small donation. Please know that your help can prolong his life. We request you to support Rehan’s open-heart surgery and keep his heart beating. Rehan is one of the most deserving patients in Pakistan.

Muhammad Rehan, a 22-year-old resident of Sialkot, has been enduring difficulty in breathing and respiratory infections. He underwent surgery for his condition previously. His open-heart surgery, Rastelli for PA (Pulmonary Atresia) was done in 2006. But he started suffering from shortness of breath again. His parents took him for a check-up. After some workup, the cardiologists diagnosed him with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) and PA (Pulmonary Atresia). He was advised to undergo Redo Open Heart Surgery for Tissue Valve Replacement.

Muhammad Rehan’s father is a rickshaw driver and he hardly earns PKR 30,000 per month. He cannot afford the hefty cost of this procedure. He merely earns enough to put food on the table for his family. Muhammad Rehan’s family found out about Transparent hands and they have been connected with us. We verified and registered Muhammad Rehan’s case. His father told us:

“My son has been suffering from this deadly heart disease since birth. We thought that he was out of danger after his previous surgery, but the doctors have advised him to undergo another surgery. We didn’t know that this deadly disease would strike again and make our lives miserable. We have been living in fear for so many years. Please help us defeat this disease.”

Muhammad Rehan’s case has been registered with Transparent Hands and we are determined to help him. But, this will not be possible without your support. Rehan and his family have placed their hopes in your hands. Please support Rehan’s open-heart surgery without any delay.

Muhammad Rehan's Story

Muhammad Rehan, a 22-year-old resident of Sialkot, had been suffering from difficulty in breathing after mild physical exertion since birth. He also had repeated respiratory infections. Upon consultation, he was diagnosed with VSD (Ventricular Septal Defect) and PA (Pulmonary Atresia). He underwent surgery for Pulmonary Atresia with Rastelli Procedure back in 2006. Unfortunately, he could not recover fully from that surgery and faced cardiac failure again. He was investigated again and diagnosed with conduit stenosis. The cardiologist advised Redo Open-Heart Surgery for Tissue Valve Replacement. He was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, and Dr. Asim performed his surgery successfully on 23-06-2022. He was discharged from the hospital after six days of stay. Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation supported this surgery. You added many years to Rehan’s life.
