Romaisa Gul's Story
For the past five years, Romaisa has lived in silence, unable to hear due to her hearing impairment. She is unfamiliar with the everyday sounds that we often take for granted. Unfortunately, her parents cannot afford the cochlear implant surgery that could restore her hearing, as they face financial limitations. However, with as little as $10, you have the power to fund her life-changing surgery. Support Romaisa’s cochlear implant surgery to brighten her future.
Five-year-old Romaisa, a resident of Rawalpindi, was born without the ability to hear. Her parents noticed this and took her to the hospital for a consultation when she was a year old. After a thorough evaluation and some diagnostic tests, the doctor diagnosed her with sensorineural hearing loss. The doctor has advised her to undergo cochlear implant surgery, to enable her to hear. With this device, she will be able to hear and discover sounds for the first time. The cochlear implant has two components. One is surgically implanted close to the ear, and the external component is installed a few weeks after the surgery.
She lives in a small house with her parents and three siblings. Her father is a driver and earns just PKR 35,000 per month. He has no other source of income. A cochlear implant is an expensive surgery. Due to financial constraints, he is unable to afford the surgical expenses. Her father said in a depressed tone:
“It breaks my heart to see my daughter struggle to communicate due to her hearing impairment. She has not been able to enjoy the simple pleasures of hearing and making friends. Your generous financial contribution has the power to bring her that joy by funding the much-needed cochlear implant surgery.”
Her parents found out about Transparent Hands through one of their relatives and contacted us for registration. We can get her the surgery she needs for a cochlear implant as soon as we get your financial contribution. Support Romaisa’s cochlear implant surgery and allow her to live her life to the fullest.
