Support Shama Ibrahim’s Safe C-Section

Shama Ibrahim's Story
Shama Ibrahim, a 34-year-old woman from Thatta, is facing a challenging moment in her life. She is 37 weeks pregnant and is about to deliver her child. After knowing about her pregnancy, she visited a gynecologist at a local hospital. She has previously undergone three C-sections for childbirth. The doctor has advised another C-section to ensure the safety of both Shama and her baby. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s means.
This C-section is necessary to save two lives. Following the natural delivery process and avoiding C-section may lead to various complications such as fetal distress, uterine rupture, or stillbirth.
Shama lives in a modest home with her joint family of twelve members, including her three children. Her husband is the sole breadwinner for such a large family. He works at a grocery store and brings in just PKR 17,500 per month. This income is insignificant to cover their utility bills, food, as well as other living expenses. They face immense financial hardships and hardly make ends meet. Due to their financial limitations, affording to pay for Shama’s C-section is impossible for her family.
Shama’s husband is extremely worried, and as a father, he doesn’t want to lose his child. Therefore, he reached out to Transparent Hands and asked for assistance. Shama’s husband expressed his heartfelt plea as follows:
“I work to the point of exhaustion, but the cost of this C-section is something I can’t afford on my own. I can’t bear to risk my wife’s and child’s lives because of my inability to pay for the C-section. I request you to be generous and support my wife’s surgery.”
Transparent Hands has registered Shama’s case, but we can’t help her alone. We need your support through donations to help her bring her child safely into this world.
Let’s join hands to turn Shama’s fear into relief and worries into happiness.
