Give for Sheena’s Safe Delivery
Sheena Fiaz's Story
Sheena Fiaz, a 31-year-old resident of Lahore, is in her eighth month of pregnancy and faces a daunting challenge. She is pregnant with her fourth child, followed by three C-section procedures. Her doctor advised her to undergo a C-section, which is beyond her financial means.
Sheena Fiaz, a devoted homemaker, has always focused on taking care of her family. Her husband works diligently as a car wash attendant at a local petrol pump, earning a modest income of approximately PKR 25,000 per month.
However, their current living situation exacerbated their already challenging circumstances. Sheena and her family reside in a rented house, for which they must pay a monthly rent of PKR 10,000. On top of that, the burden of utility bills amounts to PKR 2,500. With three children already under their care, Sheena’s husband shoulders the responsibility of being the sole provider for the family, leaving no room for additional sources of income. Unfortunately, this financial strain leaves them unable to afford the necessary surgical expenses for Sheena’s upcoming delivery.
Sheena’s husband said it in a depressed tone:
“The well-being of my wife and the safe arrival of our baby are paramount in our hearts. However, we find ourselves in a difficult position, unable to bear the costs of the impending surgery. We humbly appeal to your kindness and compassion during this critical time.
In their search for assistance, Sheena and her husband turn to Transparent Hands. We are reaching out to compassionate individuals like you, to extend a helping hand. Sheena Fiaz's Story
Sheena Fiaz, a 31-year-old woman from Lahore, faced a challenging moment in her life. Pregnant with her fourth child, she anxiously awaited her baby’s arrival. However, she was worried as she had a previous history of three C-section surgeries. She went to a nearby hospital and consulted a doctor, who after a thorough examination found out that Sheena again needed a C-section procedure to minimize the risks. However, the cost of the procedure was beyond Sheena’s family’s financial reach.
Sheena lives in a modest rented house with her husband and three children. Her husband, the sole breadwinner in the family, works as a car wash attendant at a petrol pump and earns just PKR 25000 per month. With this meager monthly income, he barely manages the house rent, utility bills, as well as groceries. He had no room left for savings to pay for Sheena’s C-section surgery. After struggling for a while, Sheena’s family found Transparent Hands and asked us for help.
On 25-03-2024, Sheena was admitted to Life Hospital in Lahore and received pre-operative care. On 30-03-2024, her journey took a heartbreaking turn. Despite all efforts, her unborn child couldn’t survive. Sheena had Intrauterine Fetal Death (IUFD) - a condition characterized by the death of a fetus that occurs after the second trimester due to some underlying complications. However, the medical staff acted swiftly and Dr. Beenish performed a C-section procedure to ensure her safety and well-being. Her baby, who had passed away, was delivered and Sheena received the critical medical attention she needed during this challenging time. Sheena was discharged in a stable condition on 01-04-2024 and is recovering now.
Though the pain of her loss was overwhelming, she found relief in the care she received. Moreover, Sheena was provided with a Ration pack, ensuring her family had access to essential food items. It is through your generosity that we were able to cover her medical expenses, offering her and her family a light during their darkest hour.
