Mehwish Bibi's Story
Mehwish, a 23-year-old resident of Lahore, is currently pregnant with her third child. She already has two children and is now in her ninth month of pregnancy. Based on her medical records and current condition, her gynecologist has advised her to undergo a lower Segment C-section (LSCS) to safely deliver her baby. An LSCS involves making a surgical incision in the lower segment of the uterus for the delivery of the baby. Without this procedure, both Mehwish and her baby would be at risk.
Mehwish and her husband reside in Lahore and live with two children. Their monthly income is modest, amounting to only PKR 20,000. Unfortunately, they are unable to afford the expenses associated with the necessary C-section surgery, which places the health of both Mehwish and her baby in jeopardy. The financial strain has taken a toll on Mehwish’s well-being as she struggles to provide herself with proper nutrition and access necessary medication. With a heavy heart, she shares her distressing circumstances and highlights the urgent need for financial assistance.
