Ubaid Ullah 's Story

Ubaid Ullah had life-threatening heart defects from birth. The only thing that can save his life is open-heart surgery, but unfortunately, due to financial constraints, his father is unable to pay for such an expensive procedure. If these heart defects are not treated with surgery, they may cause heart failure, heart blocks, and high lung blood pressure. Your donation can help us save his heart. We urge you to support Ubaid Ullah’s open-heart surgery to prolong his life.

Ubaid Ullah, a three-year-old resident of Sargodha, has been battling life-threatening heart defects since birth. Unfortunately, his family is facing financial constraints, making it impossible for them to afford the required open-heart surgery that could save his life. Without this vital procedure, Ubaid Ullah’s heart conditions, including Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), ventricular septal defect, and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVOTO), may lead to heart failure, heart blocks, and pulmonary hypertension.

The child’s health has been steadily deteriorating, as evident from symptoms such as shortness of breath, cyanosis, chest infections, and delayed physical growth. Upon seeking medical attention, the cardiologist advised angiography followed by an urgent CP Shunt through open-heart surgery to address his multiple heart conditions.

He lives with his parents and two siblings. His father is the family’s sole provider, earning only PKR 60,000 monthly. Due to a lack of savings and the mounting costs associated with treating his son’s heart condition, he cannot afford the necessary surgery. His father said in despair:

“With your assistance and support, my son will have a better chance of surviving and achieving his goals in the future.”

After much mental and physical exhaustion, his parents have requested Transparent Hands’ help. We promised them to arrange funds for his surgery as soon as possible. You can give him the gift of a bright future. Therefore, we urge you to please support Ubaid Ullah’s cardiac surgery to save his heart.

Ubaid Ullah 's Story

Ubaid Ullah, a brave three-year-old from Sargodha, has been fighting against life-threatening heart defects since the day he was born. However, his family's financial constraints posed an insurmountable obstacle, preventing them from affording the crucial open-heart surgery that could save his life. With each passing day, Ubaid Ullah's heart conditions, including Transposition of the Great Arteries (TGA), ventricular septal defect, and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVOTO), threatened to lead him down a perilous path of heart failure, heart blocks, and pulmonary hypertension.

The signs of his deteriorating health were evident—shortness of breath, cyanosis, recurrent chest infections, and stunted physical growth. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Ubaid Ullah family sought the expertise of a cardiologist who recommended angiography as a crucial diagnostic step, followed by an urgent CP Shunt through open-heart surgery to address the multiple complex heart conditions plaguing the young child.

However, the financial burden of treating Ubaid Ullah's condition weighed heavily on his family, as their savings fell far short of covering the exorbitant costs associated with the necessary surgery. Exhausted both mentally and physically, his parents turned to Transparent Hands.

The relentless dedication of Transparent Hands and the unwavering support of the donors propelled Ubaid Ullah's case to the renowned Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore. On September 18, 2023, Dr. Asim Khan, performed the life-saving procedure. Through a median sternotomy, atrial septectomy, and right CP Shunt, Dr. Khan skillfully addressed the intricate complexities within Ubaid Ullah's heart. The surgery was a resounding success.

Ubaid Ullah's hospital stay lasted six days, during which he received exceptional care and support from the dedicated staff at Ittefaq Hospital.

To the compassionate donors and Pakistan Children’s Heart Foundation who generously contributed to Ubaid Ullah's surgery, we extend our deepest gratitude. Your selfless acts of kindness have not only relieved the financial burden on Ubaid Ullah's family but have also given them renewed hope and strength.
