Zainab Zafar's Story

Zainab has been suffering from a deadly congenital heart condition. She needs to undergo cardiac surgery, but her family is unable to pay for this expensive treatment. We urge you to support Zainab’s open-heart surgery as much as you can.

Zainab, a 10-year-old resident of Wazirabad, was born with Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVVO).  ASD is a hole between the heart’s upper chambers (atria) whereas RVVO is characterized by the narrowing or obstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract. She experiences shortness of breath upon mild exertion, nausea, and vomiting. She is also unable to gain weight. Her family learned about this condition when she was a year old. After evaluation and running some diagnostic tests, the doctor advised open-heart surgery for ASD Closure.

Zainab resides with her parents, and her father works as a laborer. With no other source of income, affording her surgical expenses is beyond their means. This dire situation leaves them unable to bear the burden of the financial costs. Your generous donations can be the beacon of hope they desperately seek. Her mother expressed her grief with the following words:

“My daughter is everything to me, a precious being as delicate as a flower. Witnessing her painful condition breaks my heart. I yearn for her to experience the joy of studying and playing like any other girl. I implore you to assist me in saving my beloved daughter’s life. Your support is crucial in this desperate time of need.”

Help and support Zainab’s open-heart surgery with just a donation as small as $10. You can make a profound difference and change her life forever. Registering her case and assuring her parents, we are committed to providing her with the necessary treatment she desperately needs. Act now and donate today to make a life-saving impact!

Zainab Zafar's Story

Zainab Zafar, a resilient 10-year-old girl residing in Wazirabad, had confronted the challenges posed by an Atrial Septal Defect (ASD) and Right Ventricular Outflow Tract Obstruction (RVVO) since her birth. Living with an ASD, a hole between the heart's upper chambers, and RVVO, the narrowing or obstruction of the right ventricular outflow tract, Zainab has experienced shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, and struggles to gain weight. These conditions were become evident when she turned one year old, urging her family to seek medical help.

After careful evaluation and diagnostic tests, Zainab's doctor recommended open-heart surgery to close the ASD, a vital step towards her improved well-being. However, the high cost of the surgical procedure weighed heavily on her family, leaving them in a state of distress.

In their time of need, Zainab's family reached out to Transparent Hands. Recognizing the urgency of Zainab's situation, we extended our support, offering a lifeline to her family.

Zainab was admitted to Ittefaq Hospital, where a skilled medical team prepared for her critical operation, and her operation was skillfully performed by Dr. Asim on 19-7-2023

With the ASD closed, Zainab's heart could function more efficiently, allowing her to breathe easier, alleviate her nausea and vomiting, and improve her overall well-being. The surgery has paved the way for a healthier future, filled with newfound energy and vitality.
