Support Zubair’s Hypospadias Repair
Zubair Hussain's Story
Step into the world of Zubair, a courageous young boy from Karachi, whose life has been marked by the burden of an abnormal urinary pathway. Tragically, the weight of a crippling financial crisis has rendered the necessary surgery beyond their reach. In Zubair’s tearful eyes lies a plea for help—a plea for a chance to reclaim his dreams and rewrite his future. Join us to support Zubair’s Hypospadias repair and create a ripple of change, giving him a chance to lead a healthy life.
Zubair has been facing the challenges of an abnormal urinary pathway since birth. He was diagnosed with subcoronal hypospadias. It is a congenital condition where the opening of the urethra, the tube through which urine passes, is located on the underside of the penis rather than at the tip. The doctor would have examined Zubair’s genitalia and observed the abnormal placement of the urethral opening. This condition can hinder Zubair’s daily activities and impact his quality of life in several ways. Since the urethral opening is not at the tip of the penis, it can cause difficulties with urination, resulting in a weaker stream or spraying of urine. It can also lead to problems with sexual function and fertility later in life. The doctor recommended hypospadias repair for Zubair. It is a surgical procedure performed to correct an abnormality in the placement of the urethral opening.
His father faces a financial crisis and is unable to afford the necessary surgery. With tears streaming down his face, Zubair expressed:
“I really want things to get better in the future, but we don’t have enough money for the surgery I need. If you help us, it can make the surgery happen, and I’ll be so happy and hopeful again.”
Zubair’s case is registered with Transparent Hands, and his journey towards a healthier and happier life relies on the support of compassionate individuals like you. By coming together and rallying behind him, we can provide him with the opportunity to undergo the required surgery, unlocking a world of possibilities and granting him the chance to live a life unhindered by his medical condition.

Zubair Hussain's Story
Zubair, an 11-year-old boy residing in Karachi, has faced the challenges of an abnormal urinary pathway since birth. He was diagnosed with subcoronal hypospadias, a congenital condition where the opening of the urethra, the tube through which urine passes, is located on the underside of the penis instead of at the tip. This condition can significantly impact Zubair's urine control and quality of life.
Due to the abnormal positioning of the urethral opening, Zubair experiences difficulties with urination, such as a weaker stream or spraying of urine. Recognizing the impact this condition has on Zubair's well-being, the doctor recommended hypospadias repair—a surgical procedure that would correct the positioning of the urethral opening and improve his urinary function.
However, Zubair's father faced a financial crisis that made it impossible for him to afford the necessary surgery. In search of assistance, Zubair's case was registered with Transparent Hands. Through the compassion and generosity of donors, the funds required for Zubair's surgery were raised, offering him a glimmer of hope for a better future.
With the financial burden lifted, Zubair was admitted to Murshid Hospital, Karachi, where he was placed under the care of Dr. Khair Jan, a skilled surgeon specializing in hypospadias repair. On the 13th of October 2023, the surgery was successfully performed. The procedure aimed to correct the abnormality and restore normal urinary function.
After one day of post-operative care, Zubair was discharged from the hospital, his condition was stable and his spirits lifted. The successful surgery and the dedicated support of Transparent Hands and the generous donors brought renewed hope and joy to Zubair and his family. It highlights how collective efforts can uplift individuals facing medical challenges and provide them with the opportunity for a brighter future.
