Ahmed Asad, a two-year-old resident of Dadu, Sindh, is living in a world of silence. Born with congenital sensorineural hearing loss, he is unable to respond to his parents’ loving voices, leaving him isolated from the vibrant world around him. Ahmed’s parents first noticed his hearing loss when he turned one, prompting them to seek help and hope for their precious son.

After extensive consultations and examinations, the doctors recommended a life-changing solution: cochlear implant surgery. This procedure involves the implantation of an electronic device that stimulates the hearing nerve, allowing patients to regain the gift of sound.

Ahmed lives in a small house with his parents in Dadu, Sindh. He is the only child of his parents. However, their family is caught in a relentless cycle of financial hardships. Ahmed’s father, the sole breadwinner, struggles to make ends meet on a meager monthly income of just PKR 20,000. After paying utility bills, buying groceries, and covering daily expenses, there is no money left for savings. They have no other source of financial support.

Ahmed’s father feels helpless and burdened by the lack of financial stability, as he is unable to afford the expenses for surgical intervention that could give his son the ability to hear and experience the joys of childhood.
