Husnain Ali's Story

Husnain, is a sweet and innocent child whose world has been shrouded in silence since the day he was born. His loved ones have watched with heavy hearts as he struggled to learn and communicate without the precious gift of hearing. His radiant smile and curious eyes hid a deep longing to experience the symphony of life that surrounded him.

Day after day, Husnain’s family witnessed the profound impact of his silence. They yearned to hear his laughter, his voice calling out their names, and the joyous sound of his footsteps echoing through their home. His parents, in particular, carried a heavy burden of sadness, knowing that their precious child was missing out on the simple joys that others took for granted.

Four-year-old Husnain Ali, a resident of Matiari, has congenital sensorineural hearing loss. When he was one year old, his parents recognized something was wrong since he wasn’t reacting to their voices. His parents drove him to the nearest hospital, where he underwent testing. He was diagnosed with sensorineural deafness after a consultation. He was advised by the doctor to have cochlear implant surgery.

His father is not financially stable enough to afford the surgical expenses and is in desperate need of help. His father said in distress:

“My dear Husnain was born in silence, but his spirit was never silent. Though I had little money, I had a heart full of love. Together, we showed that miracles happen when we don’t give up. Please come forward to donate and give Husnain the gift of hearing.”

On November 3, 2023, Husnain embarked on his transformative journey at Ali Medical Complex, Islamabad. Dr. Jawwad Ahmed, a skilled surgeon, performed a crucial surgery implanting the internal device, marking the beginning of Husnain’s quest for sound.

Remarkably, within just a day, on November 4, 2023, Husnain was discharged from the hospital, signaling the start of a promising trajectory. Awaiting the next step, the external implant was scheduled for installation after a six-week healing period, followed by continuous speech therapy sessions to nurture his auditory development.

Husnain’s resilience, coupled with Dr. Jawwad Ahmed’s expertise and the ongoing speech therapy sessions, paints a hopeful picture for his future.
