Zafar Iqbal's Story

Donate to Zafar’s prosthetic leg replacement. Before you dwell on the details of Zafar’s story , know that your tiniest contribution can make a huge difference in his life. Therefore, we would like to request you to donate as much as you can.

Zafar Iqbal , a fifty seven years old man, from Lahore has been suffering from diabetes for the last few years. Zafar met with an accident a year ago, in which he got his foot badly injured. He got symptomatic treatment but due to diabetes his wound could not heal and got worse. His wound got infectious and it started spreading to below his knee. The doctor advised him a below knee amputation to prevent the infection from spreading.

Zafar connected with Transparent Hands in March. With your aid, we helped Zafar with his right below knee amputation. Furthermore, we provided him with a prosthetic leg. But because of old age and the ailment, he is now having difficulty walking with a heavy prosthetic leg. Zafar seeks a prosthetic leg socket replacement.

Zafar’s ailment has limited his life and because of this he is unable to earn a living. His brother supports him financially for his basic needs, but cannot afford this procedure. Zafar spoke to our medical officer as he expressed his feelings in the following words:

“I have all my hopes tied and faith invested with this organization. Transparent Hands  has helped me much before and I am very grateful and hopeful that they will help me this time too. I request the donors to please contribute like they have before.”

We are dedicated to helping people like Zafar, and we are determined to assist  Zafar’s prosthetic leg replacement.  This won’t be possible without your kind and continuous support. We urge you to please contribute as much as you can.
