Zain Desperately Needs Cataract Surgery to See Clearly

Muhammad Zain's Story
Muhammad Zain, a 10-year-old boy from Khanewal, is suffering from blurry and dim vision. He is a bright child who dreams of exploring the world around him. For Zain, simple things like reading books, playing with friends, or recognizing faces have become daily challenges. His parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After a detailed medical evaluation, the doctor diagnosed Zain with a cataract in both eyes. His right eye was recently operated on in April 2025 through Transparent Hands. Now, doctors have advised LMA + IOL surgery for the left eye to fully restore his sight. However, the cost of the surgery is overwhelming for his family.
Without the surgery, his vision will continue to deteriorate, and the world around him may fade into darkness. The longer his condition goes untreated, the greater the risk of permanent vision loss, affecting his quality of life.
Zain’s father works as a laborer to provide for the family, earning a modest monthly income of PKR 25,000. He lives in his humble home with his parents and three siblings. Despite the father’s best efforts, the family struggles to make ends meet. Each month, they spend PKR 2,000 on utility bills and PKR 5,000 on the children’s educational expenses. Every rupee is carefully stretched to cover basic needs, leaving no room for Zain’s eye surgery.
Zain’s parents watch him struggle to see clearly at school. His mother said with tears in her eyes:
“We just want Zain to have the same chance as other children — to see, to learn, and to have opportunities to lead a fulfilling life. However, we can’t afford his surgery on our own. We ask you to kindly support our son’s surgery.”
Zain is counting on your kindness. Your support can change his life and enable him to see clearly.
