Zainab’s Cochlear Implant Surgery
Zainab Maaz's Story
Zainab suffers from sensorineural hearing loss. If we don’t help her, she might never be able to hear her parents’voices. We urge you to step forward and unlock a better future for this toddler. Please consider making a generous donation for Zainab’s cochlear implant surgery.
Three-year-old Zainab Maaz, a resident of Rawalpindi, was born with a congenital disability. When Zainab did not react to noises or loud sounds, her parents got worried. They took her for a consultation. Upon consultation, the doctor diagnosed Zainab with Sensorineural Hearing Loss. Zainab was advised to undergo cochlear implant surgery. A sound processor worn behind the ear is used with the cochlear implant. A transmitter provides sound impulses to a receiver and a stimulator is implanted beneath the skin, which use electrodes threaded into the cochlea to activate the auditory nerve. But, unfortunately, Zainab’s parents are not in a financial state to afford the cost of her surgery.
Zainab’s father works as a driver and earns just PKR 18,000 a month. He is the only breadwinner in the family. With a family of six to support, it is impossible for them to get their daughter treated without the support of a generous donor like you. They found out about Transparent Hands and reached out to us for assistance.
“Being a mother has also been a heartbreaking experience for me. I know that without this expensive treatment my child will not have a childhood like all the other kids. Please help us in these desperate times and pave a way for my daughter’s bright future.” – Zainab’s Mother
Now that we have verified and registered Zainab’s case, we will do everything in our power to help her. But this surgery won’t be possible without your help. We request you to help this little girl as she deserves a bright future. Donate for Zainab’s Cochlear Implant surgery as much as you can.
