Zubaida Bibi, a fifty three years old resident of Multan, is expecting her sixth child. Due to multiple child births and a previous emergency Cesarean Section Surgery, the Gynaecologist has advised Zubaida to undergo an Elective Cesarean Section Surgery to avoid any risks and complications considering her age and previous medical history. 

Zubaida’s husband works as a security guard who earns PKR. 17000 a month. With a family of seven to raise, and this meager monthly income, he is hardly managing to put food on table and having difficulty providing his family with the basic necessities. In these dark and hopeless circumstances, it is impossible for her husband to be able to arrange the amount of her procedure. 

Zuabaida’s husband shared his ordeal with Transparent Hands in the following words:

“This pregnancy has been very tough for my wife due to the previous history of c-section surgery. I am an ordinary security guard and cannot afford the amount of her procedure.
