Bring Relief to Zahida with Cholecystectomy

Zahida Atta's Story
Zahida Atta, a 47-year-old widow from Hyderabad, Sindh, has been suffering from pain in her upper right abdominal region for the past four years. Her condition is accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and indigestion. She is unable to fulfill her responsibilities as a mother. Recently, she went to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Zahida with Cholelithiasis. It is the deposition of hard mineral deposits in the gallbladder. To ease her pain and discomfort, the doctor has advised laparoscopic cholecystectomy. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s means.
If left untreated, Zahida’s condition will continue to worsen over time. She may develop severe complications like gallbladder infection, bile duct obstruction, or even organ damage.
Zahida’s husband passed away several years ago, leaving her as the sole parent to their three children. She lives in her brother’s house. Her eldest daughter works as a schoolteacher, earning just PKR 10,000 per month. This modest income barely covers utility bills and basic groceries. There are days when the family struggles to afford even one proper meal, and paying for surgery is out of the question for them.
Zahida expressed her plea as follows:
“I have been in pain for so long. Now, I don’t have the strength to carry on like this. I just want relief from this illness. Kindly help me get the much-needed surgery.”
Zahida’s condition is entirely treatable, and your support can bring her relief. By making her surgery possible, you’ll help restore not only her health but also her ability to care for her children and live with dignity again.
