Muhammad Saad, a 2-year-old boy from Chakwal, is experiencing significant challenges due to his heart disease. Since birth, he has been suffering from shortness of breath and chest discomfort. Even mild to moderate physical activity makes him gasp for air. Furthermore, his skin and lips often turn blue, an alarming sign that his body is not getting enough oxygen. Recently, his parents took him to a local hospital and consulted a doctor. After performing a thorough examination, the doctor diagnosed Saad with Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF). It is a heart defect that involves four heart abnormalities.

To correct these defects, his doctor has strongly recommended open angiography followed by open-heart surgery for total correction. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is beyond his family’s means.

This complex but necessary procedure is essential to improve his oxygen levels and prevent serious complications like delayed growth, heart failure, or even death. Without timely surgical intervention, his condition will only worsen.

Saad lives in a modest home with his four family members. His father, the sole provider for the family, is a driver and makes just PKR 30,000 per month. With this limited income, they barely cover their household expenses, including utility bills, food, and other living expenses. Due to their financial constraints, they are unable to pay for Saad’s life-saving heart surgery. During this difficult time, Saad’s family has contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
