Change Sonia’s Life with Cervical Lump Excision Surgery

Sonia Kiran's Story
Sonia Kiran, a 29-year-old woman from Lahore, has been suffering from a lump on the left side of her cervical region for the past year. With time, it grew in size and caused her discomfort. After her first consultation, she underwent excision of the lump, and the biopsy revealed it to be a Schwannoma. Unfortunately, soon after the surgery, the lump reappeared in the same area and continued to increase in size. The recurrence of the lump has not only left Sonia in physical discomfort but has also brought emotional stress for her and her family.
After a recent medical evaluation and tests, the doctor advised a Lump Excision and Biopsy under General Anesthesia to properly address her condition. Without timely treatment, her illness can worsen and may lead to:
Risk of compression on nearby nerves and tissues
May develop into cancer
Greater medical complications in the future
Sonia lives with her husband in a modest home in Lahore. Her husband works as a laborer and earns only PKR 25,000 per month. With this meager income, they hardly manage to cover their utility bills, amounting to PKR 5000, food, and other household expenses. The significant cost of the surgery is something that Sonia’s family can’t afford. Given their financial situation, they contacted Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Sonia expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“This lump has made my life so difficult. I already went through surgery, but the problem keeps returning. I live each day with fear that it might turn into something more serious. My husband works hard, but we cannot manage the high cost of surgery. I request you to help me get the treatment so I can live a normal and healthy life again.”
Sonia’s dreams of returning to a life free from constant discomfort and fear. Together, we can ease her suffering and enable her to beat this health issue.
