Ease Azra’s Discomfort Through Vaginal Hysterectomy

Azra Manzoor Anar, a 42-year-old woman from Hyderabad, has been suffering from severe discomfort for the past several years. She experiences constant heaviness in her lower abdomen, accompanied by a lump protruding from her vaginal area. These symptoms have left her in pain and distress, making it difficult for her to perform her daily household responsibilities. Recently, she visited a doctor for consultation. After a thorough medical examination, she was diagnosed with a Cystocele and Rectocele. In these conditions, weakened pelvic muscles cause the bladder and rectum to bulge into the vaginal wall. To address her condition, the doctor advised her to undergo a Vaginal Hysterectomy. Unfortunately, the cost of the surgery is far beyond her family’s financial means.

If left untreated, Azra’s condition will likely worsen with time. She may develop complications such as difficulty in urination, urinary tract infections, bowel dysfunction, and severe pelvic pain.

Azra lives with her husband, six children, and extended family members in a small hut in Hyderabad. In total, eight family members share the limited space and resources. Her husband works as a laborer and earns only PKR 25,000 per month. With this income, he struggles to cover basic household expenses, food, and utility bills. Affording the cost of Azra’s surgery is impossible for them. During this difficult time, Azra has turned to Transparent Hands in the hope of receiving help.
