Farzana Ashiq Ali's Story

Farzana Ashiq Ali, a 38-year-old woman from Tando Allah Yar, Sindh, has been experiencing persistent pain in her upper right abdomen for the past year. Her discomfort is often accompanied by nausea and vomiting, especially after meals. These recurring symptoms have severely affected her ability to manage household responsibilities and care for her children. Concerned about her worsening condition, Farzana recently consulted a doctor. After thorough medical evaluations and imaging, she was diagnosed with Cholelithiasis. This condition is characterized by the deposition of hard mineral deposits in the gallbladder. The doctor has advised her to undergo a Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy, a surgical procedure to remove her gallbladder.

If Farzana does not receive timely surgical treatment, she may face the following medical outcomes:
• Persistent abdominal pain and digestive issues
• Risk of gallbladder infection (cholecystitis)
• Blockage of the bile duct
• Potential emergency surgery in the future

Farzana lives in a rented house with her husband and three children. Her husband works as a security guard at a private organization and earns a modest monthly salary of PKR 26,000. Out of this, PKR 7,000 goes towards house rent, and the remaining amount is barely enough to cover utility bills and groceries. With these limited financial resources, affording the cost of Farzana’s surgery is beyond their reach.

With hope in her eyes, Farzana said:

“I’ve been bearing this pain for so long. At times, it becomes unbearable. I want to recover and take care of my family again, but my husband can’t afford the surgery. I ask for your help so I can live without pain.”

Farzana is counting on your generosity to regain her health and return to a healthy life. Every day that passes adds to her discomfort and risk of serious complications. She does not have the means to afford this life-improving surgery, but you have the power to change that.

Don’t let Farzana suffer any longer. Your support can make all the difference.
