Empower Abdul Samad with Speech Therapy

Abdul Samad's Story
Abdul Samad, a 2-year-old boy from Rajanpur, had been living in a world of silence since birth. He had never heard the voices of his loved ones. Concerned, his parents received medical advice at a local hospital. After undergoing examination, Abdul Samad was diagnosed with congenital sensorineural hearing loss and was advised to undergo cochlear implant surgery.
Through Transparent Hands, Abdul Samad underwent the surgery on May 21, 2025. The procedure was successful, giving him the ability to hear. As he had never heard sounds before, he is unable to distinguish between different sounds. His doctor has now recommended speech therapy sessions, which are essential to help him recognize sounds, form words, and begin to communicate effectively.
Without proper and timely speech therapy, Abdul Samad may continue to face difficulties in speech development, social interaction, and learning. These challenges may isolate him and limit his potential. Early intervention is important at this stage, as these years are crucial for his language development.
Abdul Samad’s father is a police employee and the sole breadwinner of the family, earning around PKR 55,000 per month. This income is just enough to meet essentials including utility bills as well as food expenses. Despite doing his best to support his son, Abdul Samad’s father cannot manage the cost of speech therapy sessions on his own. Abdul Samad’s family said in despair:
“We are thankful for the surgery that helped our son hear. However, he needs speech therapy now to learn how to speak and grow like other children. Kindly support us so Abdul Samad can lead a better life.”
With your generous support, Abdul Samad can receive the essential speech therapy sessions that will shape his future. Your donations will help him break free from silence, build his confidence, and open the door to better communication, learning, and a brighter life.
Give Sadaqah and make a lifelong impact.
