Muhammad Yaar's Story

Muhammad Yaar, a 55-year-old man from Lahore, has been living with a disability for the past seven years. He suffered a crush injury to his right leg while working with a machine. The injury was so serious that doctors had no option but to perform a right-sided below-knee amputation. Since then, he has been using crutches for walking. His limited mobility makes daily tasks extremely hard for him. The doctor advised him to get a right-sided prosthetic limb. However, he can’t afford his prosthetic leg.

A prosthetic limb would allow him to walk again, move safely, and perform daily tasks. Without it, he will continue to struggle with limited mobility and increased risk of health problems due to long-term dependence on crutches.

Financially, life has become extremely difficult for Muhammad Yaar. He lives in a rented house and pays PKR 12,000 for rent every month. His utility bills add up to PKR 6,270. Due to his disability, he is unable to work properly. To survive, he often asks others for help and manages to collect around PKR 15,000 per month. His son works as a laborer and earns PKR 30,000 per month. However, even with this income, the family can only meet their household expenses.

The cost of the prosthetic limb is far beyond what they can afford. This leaves Muhammad Yaar worried and helpless, as he wishes to regain independence but has no way to pay for the artificial limb. With a heavy heart, he shared:

“For seven years, I have struggled to move with crutches after losing my leg. I want to walk again, but I cannot afford the prosthetic limb. Every day feels harder than the last. Please help me stand on my feet and live independently again.”

Your support can give Muhammad Yaar a new start in life. Give Sadaqah and help him walk independently once more.
