Enable Aman to Walk Again with an Artificial Leg
Aman Masih's Story
Aman Masih, an 18-year-old man from Sheikhupura, Punjab, has been living with a disability since a severe road accident at the age of 14. He experienced a crush injury to his right leg. An above-knee amputation was performed, leaving Aman dependent on others for everyday tasks. Even activities such as walking, standing, going outside, and managing daily routines have become difficult for him. To restore his mobility and improve his quality of life, the doctor has advised a right-sided above-knee prosthesis. Without an above-knee prosthesis, Aman’s struggles will only intensify and he will remain dependent on others for even basic tasks. The lack of mobility may lead to muscle weakness, joint stiffness, and other health complications.
Aman belongs to a low-income family of five. He lives with his parents and two siblings in a rented two-room brick house in Sheikhupura. His father is the only earning member of the family and works as a laborer, earning only PKR 30,000 per month. This income is spent on food, house rent, household needs, and the basic expenses of the family. Due to their financial hardships, they can’t afford Aman’s artificial leg.
Aman shared his plea in these words:
“Since my accident, my life has changed completely. I want to walk again, go outside without depending on others, and live like other young people. My father works hard, but he cannot afford my prosthesis. Kindly help me receive an artificial leg.”
Aman needs your support to receive his right-sided above-knee prosthesis and take steps towards an independent future. You can help him move beyond disability and live with new confidence.
