Enable Saima Bibi to Deliver Her Baby Safely with a C-section

Saima Bibi's Story
Saima Bibi, a 34-year-old woman from Multan, is over 24 weeks pregnant. Due to her history of two C-sections in the past, she was aware of the risks involved in childbirth. Determined to take all precautions, she visited a gynecologist at a nearby hospital. After a detailed examination and review of her medical history, the doctor strongly recommended another C-section to ensure a safe delivery. Attempting a natural birth in her case can result in life-threatening complications. Unfortunately, the cost of the C-section is far beyond her family’s financial means.
Without this surgery, Saima and her unborn child’s lives will be at serious risk. The potential complications include uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and obstructed labor. Timely surgical intervention is the only safe path forward for her.
Saima lives in a modest two-room brick house in Multan with her husband and three children. Her husband is the sole earner in the household and works as a daily wage laborer, bringing in just PKR 30,000 each month. With this income, PKR 2,500 is spent on utility bills, while the rest is used to meet their basic needs, including food and other household expenses. Despite their best efforts, the family struggles to make ends meet. Saving for an unexpected medical procedure like this is not possible for them. Feeling helpless and anxious, Saima reached out to Transparent Hands.
Saima expressed her heartfelt plea as follows:
“I am deeply worried about the delivery. I’ve already been through two surgeries and know the risks. We don’t have the means to afford another one. Kindly help me undergo a safe delivery, so I can welcome my child without fear.”
