Help Laila Bibi Welcome Her Baby Safely with a C-Section

Laila Bibi's Story
Laila Bibi, a 23-year-old woman from Mardan, is over 38 weeks pregnant and is approaching the end of her second pregnancy. She is already the mother of a young child, and when she found out she was expecting again, her heart was filled with joy. She went to a doctor at a nearby hospital. Considering her history of a C-section, her doctor advised an elective C-section to ensure a safe delivery. However, Laila’s family cannot afford to pay for the surgery.
Laila lives in a modest home with her husband, their child, and another family member. Her husband works as a driver and earns only PKR 20,000 per month, which barely covers their monthly household expenses. With food, utility bills, and the needs of their child, they cannot arrange the amount required for her surgery. Poverty has left Laila and her family in a state of distress at a time when they should be preparing to embrace a new life with joy.
If left untreated, complications may arise during labor, putting both the mother and the baby at serious risk. It may cause uterine rupture, excessive bleeding, and fetal distress. Concerned about her health and the safety of her unborn child, she and her husband have turned to Transparent Hands for support during this difficult time.
Sharing her plea with us, Laila said:
