Help Yamna Faisal Deliver Her Baby Safely with a C-section

Yamna Faisal's Story

Yamna Faisal, a 21-year-old woman from Naushahro Feroze, Sindh, is facing a deeply challenging moment in her life. She is currently in the 33rd week of her pregnancy, but instead of joy, her heart is filled with worry and fear. Yamna has a complicated medical history. She previously suffered from a twin ectopic pregnancy, for which she underwent a laparotomy. This was performed to address a dangerous condition where a twin pregnancy developed outside the uterus. During a recent follow-up with her gynecologist, she was advised that she would need a C-section to safely deliver her baby. However, the cost of this essential surgery is far beyond her financial capacity.

If Yamna does not undergo the C-section, she may face the following dangerous medical outcomes:

Uterine rupture due to her past surgical history

Obstructed labor

Fetal distress or risk of stillbirth

Maternal or neonatal mortality

Yamna lives in a modest rented home with her husband and family. Her husband is currently unemployed. Their in-laws financially support them with an amount of approximately PKR 15,000 per month. The family hardly manages to cover their house rent of PKR 15,000 as well as other living expenses. Their financial constraints make it impossible for them to pay for Yamna’s C-section. This is Yamna’s first pregnancy after her past struggle with ectopic pregnancy, and her only wish is to safely hold her baby in her arms. With tears in her eyes, Yamna said:

“I have already faced a lot of challenges in life. I just want to safely deliver my baby, but the cost of this C-section is beyond my family’s financial capacity. I humbly ask for your support during this difficult time. Kindly help me undergo the C-section.”
