Improve Fahad’s Vision with Cataract Surgery

Fahad Amir's Story
Fahad Amir, a 14-year-old boy from Khanewal, is struggling with a troubling eye condition. He experiences dimness of vision in his right eye, which makes it extremely difficult for him to see clearly. This problem affects his daily activities, mobility, and ability to interact with others. Concerned about his worsening vision, his family took him to a doctor for evaluation. After undergoing careful examination, he was diagnosed with a Cataract in the right eye. It is a clouding of the natural lens of the eye. To enable him to see clearly, the doctor recommended Right Eye Phacoemulsification with Intraocular Lens (IOL) implantation. Sadly, the cost of this surgery is far beyond his family’s financial reach.
If left untreated, Fahad’s cataract may worsen over time. It may lead to severe visual impairment or even loss of vision in the affected eye. Early surgical treatment is crucial to prevent long-term damage.
Fahad lives in a modest home in Khanewal with his parents and three siblings. His father works hard as a daily wage laborer and earns only PKR 20,000 per month. With this meager income, the family struggles to cover essential expenses like food, utility bills, and other household needs. Given these financial constraints, arranging money for Fahad’s surgery is not possible for them. During this challenging time, they have turned to Transparent Hands and asked for help.
Fahad’s father said in despair:
“Fahad cannot see properly from his right eye, and it makes even simple tasks very hard for him. I work hard day and night, but I cannot afford this surgery. I request you to help my son get better so he can see clearly and lead a happy life.”
Fahad is counting on your kindness. By donating, you can restore his vision, ease his suffering, and give him the chance to have a more fulfilling life.
