Join Hands to Make Asma’s Urological Surgery Possible

Asma Rehmat Ali's Story
Asma Rehmat Ali, a 55-year-old woman from Hyderabad, has been suffering from intense pain in her left flank for the past seven years. Alongside pain, she frequently experiences a burning sensation during urination and an increased urge to urinate. These ongoing health issues have made even simple daily tasks difficult, leaving her fatigued.
Recently, Asma visited a local hospital to seek answers for her condition. After undergoing detailed tests and evaluations, she was diagnosed with Pelvi Ureteric Junction Obstruction (PUJO). It is a condition where the flow of urine from the renal pelvis to the ureter is blocked, causing severe pain. To alleviate her symptoms and prevent future complications, the doctor strongly recommended a Left Ureterorenoscopy (URS) with DJ stent insertion. However, the cost of the surgery is beyond her family’s means.
If left untreated, PUJO may lead to the following health issues:
• Worsening kidney function or kidney failure
• Recurrent urinary tract infections
• Permanent damage to the affected kidney
Asma lives in a rented house with her husband, son, and other family members. Her husband is currently unemployed, and their son works as an electrician. However, his work is irregular, and he barely earns PKR 15,000 per month. Her husband’s brother helps them financially and pays their monthly house rent of PKR 15,000, but the family is struggling to meet basic living expenses. Bearing the cost of Asma’s surgery is not possible for them under these circumstances.
With a heavy heart, Asma said:
“This pain has been part of my life for so long. I’ve tried to bear it, but it’s becoming unbearable now. We have no way to pay for this surgery. I just want to live without pain. Kindly help me receive this much-needed treatment.”
Asma is counting on your kindness to finally escape years of suffering.
Extend your helping hand today. Give Sadaqah and help Asma regain her health and independence.
